The user interface has been finalised. I went for a more iPhone'esk type of aesthetic so it looks like a native application. This works really well and it presents the buttons and options in a more professional manner as well.
'Favourites' will be home to the users, well fairly simply, favourite buildings or POIs which they can add too by holding down the POI 'balloons' . 'Recents' will be home to recent POIs that the user has visited or searched for to enable a quick way to find out where it was the user had been! 'Search' is what the user will select to look for POIs they want to get to. And lastly 'More' is where the settings and options area will be housed. This will be where the user can select what kind of POIs appear on the viewer (by default all POIs will be instantly viewable). But for example if the user only wanted to find out where the faculty of art buildings were situated they would select art faculty only.
The POI 'balloons' already display what faculty the building is in with the colour code strip system (Red= Arts, Green=Health, Blue= Science & Technology, Yellow= Education, Purple= Business, White= All Faculties). These 'balloons' also enable the user to access information on/related to the POIs by pressing them once, indicated by the 'i' symbol.
