Got up at 0730, had muffin and apple. Then headed straight off to central park via many shops along the way. Once we got to central park me Ollie, Rich and Chris spent another 2hrs looking for the 'home alone' bridge and exploring the park. Had a hotdog and a burger then headed to the flagship Apple store on 5th Ave.
Was pretty incredible.
A place I wanted to visit last time - The Guggenheim, was next on the agenda. Although it wasn't the best museum I've been in, some of the design inside was really inspiring and got the brain thinking of new ideas so I was glad I went.
We next journeyed back to the hostel to rest the feet for a little bit and re group. We wanted to head down to Brooklyn Bridge to get some great night shots but first (after walking easily 10miles) we decided to have a drink and shower before heading out again.
On the way to Brooklyn bridge we paid Starbucks a visit (it had to be done) and took a trip on the metro, which we soon mastered and took advantage of with the unlimited day passes that were just over $8. Loved it.
Whilst on the bridge it started to rain so we decided to head back after getting some great pictures that I am really proud of. But the night was far from over.
Grand Central was next, and we spent a while taking the place in before heading to get a burrito (the size of a small child) and then heading up to the top of Empire State which was a massive favourite of mine from my last NY visit.
Nothing can describe the view from up Empire. And although I got some great shots, even those cannot convey the view at night. Just incredible! And with that it was time to hit the hay ready to be up early for the next day of NYC'in.
