It was Friday the 3rd and the day of the project presentation/hand in. The presentation (above) went very well we were all very confident in our idea and had the theory to back it up so I was pleased with that. Then after a quick jump into a taxi we all set up tables in the guild hall to put our projects on show for people in the Devonport area to find out about. It didn't get massively busy but there was a fair amount of people walking around and quite a fair few people spoke to us about our geocache project. Despite some of the people having a look at our ideas being fairly ‘un-techy’ (their words...) everyone was impressed and curious about the geocaching concept. Most comparing it to the ‘Letterboxing’ activity on the moors with hidden stamps people would collect. After a few hours we decided to go and check the caches to see what people had put in the logs and if they had left anything in the caches (see the gallery below, look out for the toy!).
Even today we are still getting people visiting the geocaches, so I think after a week or so we will go and develop the photos to see how they come out. Curious to see if the photos show any small term change in the areas also! You can check out some of the other projects that were on show here.
