All 3 routes are now implemented in Hoppala and Layar. The time-lapse footage for all the routes has also been split up into little sections and uploaded and associated with each marker in the different routes. They auto play once the users are within 20 meters of the markers to make sure people don't cheat and to keep reliable for different 3G signal strengths (so the videos load on time basically).
Now I have 3 routes varying in distance and skill. I decided to do three as I can show varying types of running routes and manage the production of them fairly well, as it takes a fair amount of time to plan, record, divide and implement the routes. The routes are as follows;
- Plymouth Route 1 (18 Marker points) 6.53km
Difficulty - Medium
Surface - (City Environment) Tarmac, Road, Brick.
- Plymouth Route 2 (9 Marker points) 2.02km
Difficulty - Easy
Surface - (City Environment)Tarmac, Road, Brick.
- Bovisand Route 1 (18 Marker points) 6.57km
Difficulty - Hard
Surface - (Coastal Trail) Rock, Dirt.
