Due to the current impending deadlines for the other modules, dissertation and business plan/presentations and workshops in between my final project has been slowly carrying on in the background. But now as I am a few weeks away from getting some time back the final project research can begin again. After christmas my Final Project tutor changed to Vladimir Geroimenko which only benefits me at the moment as one of his main focuses is Augmented Reality. After a talk with him after the christmas break the AR HUD for emergency services idea was scrapped due to my dissertation changing slightly and instead focusing on coming up with design principles for AR applications. So what I am now thinking of doing is to use these principles to create an app in the best way in terms of design and user interface (UI). If I do this I also had an idea for an app that would enable users to leave images in space relating to the location and orientation of the chosen shot. Enabling environments to have a memory of happenings that anyone with the app can see. See the little mock up above to give you an idea of what I am on about! So I need to look into this more, as I have only just started to learning iOS so I think this maybe a little ambitious. More to come, early days still.
